COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri men and women's track teams return home from Florida to host the home-opening Missouri Relays on Friday and Saturday. The Tigers had an outstanding outdoor-opening week last week when they took home seven titles from the Florida Relays. Senior co-captain Russ Bell took three individual titles last week.
Missouri will host 40 schools at the high school and collegiate division this weekend at the Missouri Relays. The Tigers return three All-Americans; throwers Russ Bell and Christian Cantwell and javelin thrower Gary File. Cantwell had the seventh farthest shot put in the world last year with a throw of 70 feet, 4.5 inches.
The relays begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday and day 1 of the event concludes at 8:30 p.m. Day 2 begins at 9:30 a.m. and the meet concludes at approximately 6:00 p.m.
