Columbia, Mo.-The Mizzou women's soccer coaching staff wasn't surprised by the announcement that two of its athletes have received post-season recognition once again. Sophomore defender Lacy Moore and freshman forward Jennifer Nobis were each selected to Soccer Buzz Central Region teams for their performances during the 2002 season.
Moore earned second-team accolades after leading the Tigers to an impressive year. In addition to serving as Mizzou's lynchpin on the defensive line, Moore also scored two goals to help propel Missouri to a Big 12 Conference victory over Texas Tech. She also anchored the Tiger defensive line that kept six of MU's opponents to less than 10 shots in a game, including Bowling Green that was only able to take four offensive attempts on the Tiger goal box. Moore was honored as an Ohio State All-Tournament team selection for her performance and also earned all-tournament recognition at the Nike Tiger Invitational. She was an academic All-Big 12 first team selection.
