Bryan, Texas - The University of Missouri women's golf team finished 8th at the Verizon Mo Morial, which wrapped up with 18 holes of play at Briarcrest Country Club in Bryan, Texas. Ohio State won the 36-hole event, with a team score of 616. Missouri was 8th in the 18-team event, with a team score of 652.
Senior Nisha Sadekar led the way individually for Missouri, with a two-round score of 161. Sadekar moved up 19 spots on Tuesday as she improved from an 83 on Monday to a 78 today.
Sophomore Tara Jacobsen and freshman Maria Ohlsson were three shots back, with identical 164 totals that left them tied for 39th place overall. Ohlsson opened with an 86 on Monday, and improved by eight shots on Tuesday, while Jacobsen followed Monday's 79 with an 85 on Tuesday.
Freshman Mindy Bullard tied for 48th place after rounds of 78 and 88 gave her a two-round total of 166, while junior Elin Ohlsson tied for 70th with rounds of 83 and 88.
Up next for Stephanie Cooper's squad is the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Classic, to be held March 25-26 in Austin, Texas.
