
Jeremy Spates Selected for NWCA All-Star Classic

Missouri sophomore Jeremy Spates has been selected to participate in the 35th Annual National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Star Classic on Jan. 28 at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY.
Spates is ranked No. 9 in the 149-pound class in the latest Intermat poll. He has an overall record of 15-3 and is 8-0 in duals. At the Virginia Duals last weekend he went 3-0, with two of the three wins being major decisions.
Spates was 32-13 as a freshman in the 1999-00 season and qualified for the NCAA Tournament. He was redshirted during the 2000-01 season.
The NWCA All-Star Classic features the top wrestlers at each weight class. Spates will face Hofstra's Jason DeBruin, who is ranked No. 15 at 149 pounds.
