
Missouri remains No. 9 in latest poll

In the latest Intermat poll released on Tuesday the Missouri wrestling team remains the No. 9 ranked team in the country. In addition, Missouri has wrestlers ranked in seven of the 10 weight classes.
Mizzou is 10-0 on the year for the first time since the 1967-68 season. This week marks the third consecutive week MU has been ranked in the top 10 and the No. 9 ranking is the highest ever ranking for the Tigers.
Sophomore Scott Barker is ranked No. 7 in the 197-pound class, sophomore Jeremy Spates is the ninth ranked wrestler at 149 pounds and redshirt freshman Tyron Woodley is ranked No. 9 at 165 pounds.
At 174 pounds, senior John Kopnisky is ranked No. 11, junior Kevin Herron is the No. 15 ranked heavyweight, sophomore Kenny Burleson is ranked No. 16 in the 157 pound class and sophomore J.P. Reese is ranked No. 18 at 141 pounds.
Missouri will travel to Wyoming on Friday before returning to the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse for a dual with No. 2 Oklahoma State on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m.
