
Mark McBride Tied for 25th at NCAA Regional

Stillwater, Okla. - University of Missouri junior golfer Mark McBride shot a one-over par 73 Thursday, and stands tied for 25th place overall at the NCAA Central Regional, which got underway today at Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater, Okla.
McBride, who earned a bid to the regional as an individual, shot a 35 on the front nine at Karsten Creek, and followed with a 38 on the back in his first round in NCAA competiton. He is seven strokes off the leader, Andy Stewart of Kansas, who leads all competitors with a six-under par 66.
Ten teams in the 20-team regional, as well as the two lowest individuals not on advancing teams, will move to the NCAA Championships, set for May 22-25 at The Meadows Golf Club in Allendale, Mich.
