Men's Golf Finishes 10th at Stevenson Ranch Invitational

Stevenson, Calif. - The University of Missouri men's golf team shot a final round 318 Tuesday, and finished 10th at the Stevenson Ranch Invitational, held in Stevenson, Calif.
The Tigers' three-round team score of 944 left them just five shots out of seventh place, and 45 behind champion Kansas, which won with a team score of 899.
Junior Mark McBride led the way for Missouri individually, as he finished in 20th place with a three-round score of 230. He shot a final-round 77 Tuesday, and notched his first top-20 finish of the spring, and the fourth of the 2000-01 season.
A pair of Tigers tied for 39th place with identical totals of 239. Sophomore Shawn Fleming and freshman Brandon Knaub were among a group of five golfers tied for 39th with their total. Knaub shot 79 Tuesday to reach his total, while Fleming toured the links in 83 strokes.
Freshman Michael Radek (T-52nd - 242) and junior Chris Happ (69th - 247) rounded out the Tiger lineup.
Next up for Missouri is The Cat Fight, a head-to-head competition which features both stroke play and match play, April 8th in Manhattan, Kan., against Kansas State.
