Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri men's basketball game this Saturday vs. Baylor University has officially sold out, as announced today by the MU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Saturday's game, set for a 3:00 p.m. tipoff, will be the final home game for seniors Brian Grawer, Johnnie Parker and Tajudeen Soyoye. The trio will be recognized for their contributions prior to the game.
Missouri, 17-9 overall and 8-5 in Big 12 Conference play, has averaged 11,410 in attendance this season in its previous 13 regular-season games in the 13,545-seat Hearnes Center. That's an increase of nearly five percent from last year's average of 10,882. The 1999-2000 season marked the first year that MU announced turnstile figures rather than tickets sold.
The Baylor contest represents the seventh sellout this season at Hearnes. Previous sellouts include games against Saint Louis, Nebraska, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Kansas and Oklahoma.
Additionally, a reunion of former Tiger players will be held in conjunction with the game. Over 30 former Tigers are expected to be in attendance as MU continues it push for its third consecutive NCAA Tournament bid.
