STATE CHAMPS: With the 64-53 win over Saint Louis, the Tigers have now recorded wins over UMKC, Southwest Missouri, Southeast Missouri and Saint Louis this season.
COLD START: The Tigers trailed 9-6 with 12:47 remaining in the first half.
THE RUN: MU went on a 12-0 run to take an 18-9 lead before SLU's Christan Shelton snapped the run with a layup at 7:13.
BACK IN BLACK: Missouri wore black uniforms, black socks and black shoes (with black tape wrapping the ankles) at the start of the game. Several Tigers changed back into white shoes after the game's first few minutes as they were wearing the black shoes for the first time this season.
PAR FOR THE COURSE: Missouri had a 31-19 halftime lead, the sixth time in seventh games that the Tigers scored 30 or more points in the first half.
DEFENSE: MU allowed only 19 points in the first half for the second-straight game. The 19 points are the fewest MU has allowed in the first half this season.
THREE: Evan Unrau sank two 3-point field goals on her way to a 12-point second half. Unrau has made 10 3-point field goals so far this season after only attempting one last season.
FREE THROWS: While Kerensa Barr's long streak of consecutive made fee throws fell by the wayside after making 23 straight, she started another little streak as Barr closed the game with four made free throws.
STRONG START: Friday's win pushed the Tigers' record to 6-1, the third-straight season MU has started the season 6-1. In head coach Cindy Stein's first season, Missouri had a 5-2 start to the 1998-99 season.
ANOTHER RECORD CROWD: Missouri has been part of two teams setting attendance record. In the season opener, UMKC had a school-record 2,023 fans in attendance. On Friday, Saint Louis had a record crowd of 1,785 fans.
CAREER NIGHT: Wannette Smith had a career-high (tying) 10 points against the Billikens ... Her five made field goals set a career-best mark ... Natalie Bright had a career-high (tying) seven assists in the contest.
LIKE BEING ON TV: Missouri improved to 3-0 this season while having the game on TV.
