Columbia, Mo.-Defender Dyana Russell picked up her third post-season accolade being named to the National Soccer Coaches Association All-Central Region second team. The senior was honored as a 2001 Big 12 all-tournament and all-conference selection earlier this season.
Russell, a two-time co-captain on the Tiger squad, rounded out her career as one the finest defenders to play for the Missouri program. In her final season, she helped the Mizzou defense record an unprecedented perfect game against Indiana State. MU took 34 shots and kept ISU without a single attempt during 90 minutes of play. In addition, Russell scored a goal and dished out two assists in 2001.
