MU head coach Cindy Stein on ... The Tigers in the second half: "The play off of the bench was much better in the second half than it was in the first. I was pleased with our effort today and how we played together. I think that was the most important thing, having good chemistry on the floor."
What happened in the game: "We were hitting the boards hard. They were a little frustrated after missing the first shot and they were going over our backs for rebounds. We were putting ourselves in a position where you can take charges and make them frustrated."
MU's 23 fouls: "They were calling the game tight and we needed to adjust more. There were times when we weren't moving our feet and doing what we need to do on defense."
MU's turnaround from Saturday: "Offensively, what basically happened was that we hit some shots. We had some trouble making some baskets yesterday and today we didn't."
Terianne Wolford - on her first start of the season "I don't think it made too much of a difference as I play hard any time. It's just the way she (Coach Stein) had our lineup this time. We had good chemistry on the floor and it paid off. I was looking for my shot more, too.
"I think we learned a lot from the South Carolina game. We put all of that together and found out how good we can be when we all work together."
Kerensa Barr - on free throws "I think they called a ton of fouls in the game and being that I handle the ball so much, I was getting fouled a lot. A lot of the fouls were in the backcourt so it wasn't that I was taking it at them so much."
And what was the difference against Davidson "We were more ready to play today. Against South Carolina we had a bad practice and bad shoot-around. We didn't feel prepared or that we prepared the way we, as players, want to or need to. We came into today's game more focused and tried to play our game. We tried to attack and come away with the win."
