
Women's Basketball Falls To Cyclones, 73-63

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Lindsey Wilson scored 25 points as No. 8 Iowa State defeated Missouri 73-63 in a Big 12 Conference game Wednesday night.
The Tigers (13-6, 4-4 Big 12) went on a 13-0 run late in the first half to pull back into the game after trailing by as many as 17 points.
Missouri tied the game at 43 with 14:24 left in the game, sparked by 12 points from Amanda Lassiter in the first six minutes of the second half.
The teams exchanged baskets for the next several minutes before Wilson scored 10 straight points to put Iowa State (17-2, 7-1) ahead 63-58 with just under three minutes remaining.
The Cyclones led 37-27 at halftime.
Marlena Williams and Amanda Lassiter each scored 20 points for the Tigers. Lassiter was 4-of-5 from 3-point range.
Angie Welle added 20 points for Iowa State, while Megan Taylor had 11. Tracy Gahan grabbed 14 rebounds.
It was Missouri's first conference loss at home.
The Cyclones took an early lead, going on a 9-0 run in the first five minutes of the game to go up 11-2. Missouri battled back, getting within four points, 20-16, before Iowa State went on a 17-4 run to lead 37-20 with 2:49 left in the first half.
The Tigers responded with a 7-0 run of their own, including two Natalie Bright jumpers and Tracy Franklin 3-pointer, to pull within 10 at the half.
