COLUMBIA, Mo.- The Missouri football team closed out the 2000 campaign with the 2000 Tiger Football Awards Banquet, hosted by the Tiger Quarterback Club of Columbia at the Holiday Inn Select on Monday evening. Following is a run-down of the awards that were handed out:
Scholar Athlete Award: John Dausman
Champions Club Awards: Justin Smith, Clarence Jones, Pat Mingucci, Mike Hayes, Justin Gage
Missouri Mo Award: Pat Mingucci
Ed "Brick" Travis Interior Lineman Award: Joe Glauberman
Offensive Most Valuable Player: Justin Gage
Defensive Most Valuable Player: Justin Smith
Don Faurot Most Inspirational Player Award: Daryl Whittington
Curtis Jones Champion of the Year Award: Danny McCamy
Special Teams Most Valuable Player: Sean Ain
