Columbia, Mo. - As many as 300 tickets are available for the University of Missouri men's basketball game vs. the Texas Longhorns on Feb. 12th at the Hearnes Center. Missouri and Texas are currently tied for third place in the Big 12 Conference standings, just one-half game out of first place entering the current week of play.
"We're looking forward to having every seat filled when Texas comes to town," said Mario Moccia, MU's associate director of athletics for external operations. "It's a great chance for our fans to see two excellent teams play in what we expect to be a raucous environment," he said.
Fans wishing to purchase tickets for the game can do so by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS (or 884-PAWS in Columbia), or by visiting the MU ticket office at the Hearnes Center.
Missouri has already broken the Hearnes Center single-game attendance record twice this season. The record first went down on Dec. 7, when 13,782 fans saw Missouri and Indiana square off. That broke the old mark of 13,706 set in 1989 vs. Kansas.
The Indiana standard lasted less than two months, however, as a record 14,098 fans packed Hearnes to see MU demolish 7th-ranked Kansas, 81-59, on Jan. 22.
