University of Missouri junior forward Albert White announced in a press conference today that he will bypass his final year of eligibility at Mizzou. The announcement was made this morning from his high school in Inkster, Mich.
Following are statements from MU Director of Athletics Michael Alden, and Men's Basketball Coach Quin Snyder.
MISSOURI DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS MICHAEL ALDEN
"We wish Albert White the very best with his future. He was at a point in his life where he had to make a decision, and I'm sure it was a difficult one to come to. He had compelling reasons for going in either direction. We appreciate the time he spent here at Missouri."
MU HEAD BASKETBALL COACH QUIN SNYDER
"In the end, we want what's best for Albert. He has made a decision that begins the next stage of his life, and we support him in that decision. Albert White was a member of the Missouri Basketball team and always will be a part of our program. We will move forward, and so will Albert. We offer him our support and wish him the best of luck."
