COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri Tigers (25-14, 8-10) used yet another impressive pitching performance by junior Jody Harris (7-3) to take the rubber game of a three game series over Oklahoma (21-21, 6-12) by a score 5-2. The Tigers have now won 11 of their last 12 games.
Harris pitched a complete game for the Tigers scattering six hits while striking out eight. His loan blemish came in the second inning when Richard Park connected for his fifth home run of the season to give the Sooners a 1-0 lead.
Missouri went hitless in the first three innings against Evan Greusel (1-1). After Mike Rallo walked to begin the fourth inning, Nick Wilfong got the first Missouri hit with a two-run home run over the center field wall to give the Tigers a 2-1 lead. The Tigers added three more runs in the fifth inning. J.R. Warner led the inning off with a walk and was followed by a double by Aaron Wilson. Jake Epstein then drove in Warner with a double to give Missouri a 3-1 advantage. Jon Williams and Mick Weiss drove in the fourth and fifth runs of the game with sacrifice flies.
Harris tired in the ninth inning and gave up a run on three hits, but got Jeremy Vidales to fly out to right field to end the game.
