COLUMBIA, Mo. - It was a bad day, offensively, for Missouri (6-8, 1-3) as the Tigers fell to the Baylor Bears (14-3, 2-2) 3-0. The Bears out-hit the Tigers in the first game .351 to .158 and the second game .364 to .171. Missouri came back in the third game, fighting hard at the outset, and were up at one point, 5-1. But Baylor came back and pulled ahead, taking the third game 15-10.
Missouri also had some trouble serving, much different from their win over Oklahoma just three days earlier. The Tigers recorded 11 service errors to the Bears five aces.
Bright spots for the Tigers were freshman Christi Myers and redshirt freshman Lisa Morris. Myers had just 10 kills but hit .318. Morris had one of her best offensive matches of the year, hitting .500. She also added two block assists.
Missouri begins a four-match homestand this Wednesday when they face the Kansas State Wildcats.
