The Missouri Tigers (8-14, 2-9) fell for the fourth straight time on Wednesday. The Kansas Jayhawks (15-7, 6-5) swept the Tigers in three games 15-5, 15-2, 15-13.
Freshman Christi Myers found a way out of her slump, hitting .529 for the night. She recorded 10 kills and 17 attacks through three games. In the third game alone she had seven kills and 12 attacks.
The third game was by far the best for Missouri as the Tigers hit .218 as a team, compared to the .125 clip they had through the first two games. At one point Missouri had a 13-6 lead on Kansas with six stuffed blocks for points. The Tigers finished the match with ten block assists and two solo blocks. Eight of those block assists and the two solo blocks all came in the third game. Sophomore Krista Johnson led the Tigers with three block assists.
Missouri is at home this Saturday to take on No. 16 Texas A&M.
