Volleyball Takes Non-Conference Match From UMKC

The Missouri Tigers (7-10, 1-5) wrapped up a two-match homestand over the weekend, taking the UMKC Kangaroos in three games (15-10, 15-6, 15-8). Despite 25 attacking errors, Missouri came out on top, hitting .231 to the Roos .198.
Junior Annette Luyten paved the way for the Tigers with 15 kills, a .565 hitting percentage. She also tacked on a solid defensive effort with 14 digs and two total blocks. Luyten's numbers were enough for her fifth double-double of the season. Junior Jen Gerlach stepped up as well, hitting .250. She also added two block assists.
Missouri gets back into conference play on Wednesday, finishing up a four-match homestand. The Tigers will face the Iowa State Cyclones at 7:00 p.m.
