Bill Constantine

Constantine was a hurdler who won the Big Six Conference championship in the 120-yard high hurdles in 1955. He took third in the 220-yard hurdles and sixth in the 120-yard hurdles at the 1954 NCAA Championships. He placed 5th at the U.S. Championships in the high hurdles in 1954. Constantine was a member of Mizzou’s shuttle hurdle relay team that won the championship at the Drake Relays in 1956. After graduating from Missouri, the St. Louis product had a distinguished Air Force career serving as a combat pilot in Vietnam with over 300 missions. His Vietnam service earned him a Silver Star in 1968.
