Alyssa Munlyn carved out one of the most dominant careers in Missouri volleyball history, becoming the program’s first-ever four-time AVCA All-American during her standout tenure from 2015–18. A defensive powerhouse at middle blocker, Munlyn graduated as Mizzou’s all-time leader in total blocks (634), block assists (516), and blocks per set (1.27), while also setting a school record with a remarkable .388 career hitting percentage. Her junior campaign in 2017 was one for the record books, as she established single-season marks with 189 total blocks, 159 block assists, and 1.44 blocks per set — numbers that remain among the most impressive in program history. A native of Suwanee, Georgia, Munlyn made an immediate impact as the 2015 SEC Freshman of the Year and went on to earn All-SEC and All-AVCA Southeast Region honors in each of her four seasons. After her playing career, Munlyn transitioned into coaching, spending four years (2019–22) on the Missouri volleyball staff, continuing to shape the program she helped elevate as a player.
