Strength and conditioning is a year-round emphasis for the Missouri Tigers, and thanks to a recent expansion of the Yeckel Training Center, Mizzou has one of the best workout and training facilities in the nation.
The Yeckel Training Center is located in the heart of the Mizzou Athletics Training Complex. The Yeckel Training Center boasts 13,000+ square feet of workout space with all of the latest equipment available to help the Tigers train year-round. The center has a Sports Nutrition Oasis which provides athletes with NCAA-compliant pre- and post-workout nutrition and hydration.
A state-of-the-art strength training facility is also located in Mizzou Arena, which is the primary strength and conditioning home of the men's and women's basketball teams. The facility is located just steps from both locker rooms.
The goal of the Missouri Strength and Conditioning program is to improve each team's athleticism, further developing strength, speed and quickness while increasing their agility and explosiveness. They educate all of the teams on nutrition and strive to improve their endurance and mental toughness.
