  • With the 59-55 win over No. 21 Tennessee, Mizzou defeated a ranked opponent for the first time since the 2013-14 season, when the Tigers upended No. 18 UCLA, 80-71 at Mizzou Arena (Dec. 7, 2013).
  • Mizzou held Tennessee to 55 points, 29 points under its conference average of 84.0 points per game in five SEC contests.
  • The Tigers outrebounded the Volunteers, 31-28, the 15th time in 18 games this season Mizzou has outrebounded its opponents.
  • The 55 points Mizzou held Tennessee to matches the third-lowest scoring output Mizzou has held an opponent to this season. The Tigers held Wagner to 55 points (Nov. 13), and held both Miami (Ohio) and North Florida to 51 points (Dec. 5 and Dec. 16, respectively).
  • Mizzou shot 88.2 percent (15-of-17) from the free throw line, matching its season-best performance two games ago against Georgia (Jan. 10) when it also shot 15-of-17 from the charity stripe.
  • Junior forward Kevin Puryear recorded his first career double-double and first since Nov. 17, 2016 (22 points, 10 rebounds vs. Xavier) with 12 points and a season-high 10 rebounds. It marked the eighth time this season and the 49th time in his career he has reached double-figures in scoring, as well as the third time in his career he has grabbed 10 rebounds.
  • Puryear was active on the glass, especially in the first half, as he matched his season-high with eight first half rebounds.
  • Freshman forward Jontay Porter recorded his eighth game this season scoring in double-figures, netting 12 points while grabbing seven rebounds. It was the eighth time this season he has scored at least 10 points and the 16th time this season he has snagged at least five rebounds.
  • Porter blocked one shot, the 16th time in 18 games this season he has turned away at least one shot in a game.
  • Senior forward Jordan Barnett made one three-pointer, extending his streak to 13 consecutive games with a made triple.
  • Senior guard Kassius Roberston made one-three pointer, the 14th consecutive game he has made a three-pointer.
  • Robertson also had two steals in the game, the sixth time this season and the 26th time in his career he has recorded multiple steals.
