  • Wednesday’s win marked Mizzou’s first over Georgia since Jan. 10, 2013, a 79-62 win at Mizzou Arena. Georgia had won the previous six meetings. Mizzou cut Georgia’s lead in the all-time series to 6-5.
  • Mizzou head coach Cuonzo Martin moves to 3-3 in six all-time meetings against Georgia.
  • The 12-point win was Mizzou’s largest in SEC play since a 15-point triumph over Auburn on Jan. 9, 2016, nearly two years to the day and a span of 41 games.
  • Mizzou won for the first time this season when trailing at the half. Mizzou lost its previous three contests when trailing following the initial 20 minutes.
  • Mizzou has yet to lose back-to-back games this season.
  • Mizzou led for just 21 seconds in the opening 20 minutes of action, but took the lead just 2:14 into the second half thanks to six paint buckets and seven total combined points from Jeremiah Tilmon and Jontay Porter. That was part of a 13-2 run to open the half, with 12 of the 13 points coming in the paint, six coming via dunks.
  • Mizzou led for 17:46 of 20:00 second-half minutes.
  • After going 8-for-30 in the first half, Mizzou shot a blistering 16-of-28 (57.1 percent) in the second half. 
  • Mizzou outscored Georgia, 32-20, in the paint Wednesday.
  • The Tigers outrebounded the Bulldogs, 37-36, the 14th time in 16 games Mizzou has outrebounded its opponents.
  • Mizzou hit 15-of-17 foul shots Wednesday, matching its fewest misses this season (went 5-for-7 vs. North Florida). In three SEC games, Mizzou has been lights out from the charity stripe, shooting 52-for-62 (84 percent) as a team. Mizzou has made at least 15 free throws in all three SEC games this season.
  • Mizzou tallied eight steals while Georgia had just one. Mizzou converted 12 UGA turnovers in 16 points while Georgia scored just two points off six Mizzou turnovers. The six Mizzou turnovers are a season-low.
  • Freshman forward Jeremiah Tilmon scored all 10 of his points in the final 20 minutes of action Wednesday. Junior forward Kevin Puryear also scored all nine of his points after the break.
  • With 15 points, freshman forward Jontay Porter scored in double-figures for the second time in three SEC games and the seventh time this season.
  • Porter also snagged 10 rebounds, tallying his second career double-double Wednesday and first since Nov. 20 vs. Emporia State (11 and 11). Porter has now recorded at last five rebounds in 15 straight games, and multiple bocks in 11 contests.
  • Porter had three blocks in the game, giving him 37 on the season, moving into sole possession of third place among Mizzou freshmen all-time. Porter has recorded a block 14 of 16 games this season.
  • Senior guard Kassius Robertson scored in double figures for the sixth straight game and the 14th time this season. He is the nation’s top-scoring graduate transfer so far this season. He has led Mizzou in scoring seven times this season (Mizzou is 5-2 in those games).
  • Robertson made three three-pointers in the game, the 13th time this season and 76th time in his career he has multiple three-pointers.
