Tigers will kick off upcoming season in San Juan
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Fresh off its fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, Mizzou Volleyball is set for another exciting season inside the Hearnes Center. The upcoming 2019 schedule will consist of 30 total matches (12 non-conference, 18 Southeastern Conference) with action kicking off late August in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Highlighting the 2019 schedule will be eight opponents who advanced to the NCAA Tournament a season ago. Three of those programs (Florida, Kentucky and Michigan) advanced to the Sweet 16.
Mizzou will return to the friendly confines of the Hearnes Center in 2019, featuring a brand new, state of the art primary scoreboard, large videoboards above each tunnel and a refurbished playing court. The Tigers will open their home schedule with the Mizzou Invitational (Sept. 13-15), consisting of nine total matches over three days between five total programs.
2019 Mizzou Volleyball season tickets are available now for $40 for the general public, while seniors 65-plus and youth 17-and-under can purchase a season pass for only $30. Fans can purchase season tickets by visiting MUTigers.com/VBTix or by calling the Mizzou Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-CAT-PAWS.

The Tigers open their 2019 campaign with four consecutive non-conference tournaments. First, Mizzou heads to sunny San Juan for the second consecutive year. The Puerto Rico Invitational (Aug. 30-31) will consist of two matchups versus Miami (Fla.) and the Tigers' first contest against George Mason since 1987.
Next, Mizzou will travel to Ohio for the Dayton Invitational (Sept. 6-7). The Tigers will have a challenging doubleheader on day one inside the Frericks Center, facing NCAA Tournament qualifiers from a season ago in Michigan and Dayton. Mizzou closes its two-day stay in Ohio with an afternoon contest versus Northern Illinois. The two teams last squared off three years ago in a NCAA Tournament First Round matchup in the Hearnes Center.
Following the aforementioned Mizzou Invitational, the Tigers conclude their non-conference slate with a quick two-match weekend at the Baylor Classic (Sept. 20-21). The short stay in Waco, Texas, will be highly competitive, as Mizzou faces NCAA Tournament qualifiers in Baylor and Hawaii in back to back days.
SEC play opens with a bang inside the Hearnes Center, as defending league champions Kentucky (Sept. 29) visit Mid-Missouri for a Sunday afternoon contest. Three days later, the Tigers visit LSU (Oct. 2) for their SEC road opener.
Mizzou will then compete inside the Hearnes Center for three of its next four matches. Texas A&M (Oct. 6), Ole Miss (Oct. 9) and Tennessee (Oct. 20) will all make the trek to Mid-Missouri, while the Tigers mix-in a road trip to Auburn (Oct. 18) in-between. The month of October concludes with a visit to Arkansas (Oct. 25) and two additional home matches versus Mississippi State (Oct. 27) and Florida (Oct. 30).
Mizzou will be tested on the road in its final month of the regular season, featuring six total matches away from Mid-Missouri. The Tigers open the month with three consecutive away matches, as they'll visit Texas A&M (Nov. 3), Alabama (Nov. 8) and Georgia (Nov. 10). Mizzou then returns to the Hearnes Center for a pair of matches versus Alabama (Nov. 15) and South Carolina (Nov. 17).
The home stretch of the 2019 regular season schedule begins with three straight road trips, as Mizzou visits Kentucky (Nov. 20), Tennessee (Nov. 24) and Ole Miss (Nov. 27). Tiger fans will get to enjoy the true season finale with LSU (Nov. 30) visiting the Hearnes Center.
