TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 17 Missouri gymnastics team suffered a 195.850-194.525 loss at No. 7 Alabama Friday night at Coleman Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The Tigers dropped to 1-2 on the season.
KEY MOMENTS
Senior Shauna Miller (Knoxville, Tenn. and junior Madeleine Huber (St. Louis, Mo.) each scored team-best 9.800s on bars in the first rotation as the Tigers went 48.775 as a team. Huber's score was good enough to place her second on vault among all competitors.
In the second rotation, Huber scored a 9.825 to pace Mizzou and tie her career-best on vault. Sophomore Aspen Tucker (Lehigh Acres, Fla.) added a 9.800, while senior Kennedi Harris (Atlanta, Ga.) went 9.775 as the Tigers totaled 48.900 on the event.
Tucker highlighted Mizzou's floor rotation as she tied her personal best with a 9.900 to tie for second on the event. Additionally, Harris and sophomore Mary Nicholson (Richland Hills, Texas) each scored 9.825s.
Junior Britney Ward (Ozark, Mo.) closed the Tigers' night with a 9.875 on the balance beam, a score that tied her for second overall on the event.
