
@MizzouGym Adds Lauren Clevenger to 2018 Freshman Class

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Missouri gymnastics rounded out its 2018 recruiting class with Lauren Clevenger (Catoosa, Oklahoma), Head Coach Shannon Welker announced on Thursday. Clevenger joins Chelsey Christensen, Gabrielle Gottula and Paige Kovnesky as members of the 2018 freshman class.
"We are so excited to have Lauren join our Tiger family," Welker said. "Lauren is just hitting her stride and has the ability to keep getting better. Her strong work ethic, love of the sport and focus on academic excellence makes her great fit for our program."
Clevenger, who hails from Catoosa, Oklahoma, competed for Dynamo Gymnastics under coaches John Lee and Karen Rush. She took runner-up honors on beam at the 2016 Junior Olympic National Level 10 Senior C session. Additionally, she claimed the Level 10 Region 3 beam and floor titles in 2016. Clevenger owns level 10 high scores of 9.65 on beam, 9.55 on bars, 9.5 on floor, 9.4 on vault and 37.2 in the all-around.
The daughter of Steve and Amanda, Clevenger attended Catoosa High School.
