Coach Kreklow on Brynn…
"Brynn has had a great high school career, winning two state championships and going undefeated this past season. She has definitely been an 'under the radar' type player, as she's a multi-sport athlete who didn't make the jump to higher level club play until last spring. She's a natural blocker, who reads and reacts well. Her combination of size, length and agility allow her to move quickly and easily along the net. She picks things up very quickly and we're excited with her long term potential! Brynn is also a great person and great teammate and we couldn't be happier with her decision to be a Mizzou Tiger."
Sun Wenting
One of premier players for Miami Dade, who finished 34-0 this year and claimed its second consecutive championship at the National Junior College Tournament … Named to All-Tournament Team after producing 40 kills in over three matches … Tallied 324 kills (3.45 per set) on .343 hitting and 368.5 points over her 2017 sophomore season … Even more effective in conference action, producing 3.80 kills per set on .567 hitting … As a freshman, recorded 264 kills (3.47 per set) on .353 hitting with 294.5 points … Key piece of Miami Dade's 2016 National Junior College Tournament championship-winning team … Awarded 2016 Division I NJCAA Volleyball National All-Tournament Team … Named to 2016 First Team All-Southern Conference team … Finished with 10-plus kills in 33 matches over two seasons at Miami Dade … 2016 FCSAA All-Tournament Team honoree after producing 21 kills in championship match.
Coach Kreklow on Sun…
"We're also very excited to add Sun to our roster in 2018. Sun has had a fantastic career at Miami-Dade and has been a key fixture in their back to back national championships, helping them to an undefeated record this past season. She's a great all-around player, someone that I would call a 'glue type' player. Sun makes people around her better with her ball control, decision making and positive attitude. She has the ability and skill to play all six rotations and knows how to score with a variety of shots. Sun is definitely the type of player that will be able to come in and make a huge impact on our program right away. Like Brynn, Sun is a great person and a wonderful teammate and is going to be a great fit for our program!"
