LSU 80, Mizzou 71 - Postgame Notes
- Freshman forward Kevin Puryear (Blue Springs, Mo.) shot 3-of-5 from beyond the three-point line in the game, a season-high for three-pointers made. After connecting on only 4-of-21 (19 percent) from deep in his first 22 games, Puryear has shot 9-of-20 (45 percent) from beyond the arc in his last eight games.
- Puryear scored 13 points on the night, his 20th double-digit performance of the season. Puryear now sits in sixth place on the freshman class all-time scoring leaders list with 344 points, surpassing Doug Smith, who scored 338 points in the 1987-88 season.
- Freshman guard Terrence Phillips (Orange County, Calif.) dished out four assists in the game to reach 100 assists on the season. Phillips is the eighth freshman in Mizzou history to reach 100 assists.
- Sophomore guard Namon Wright (Los Angeles, Calif.) grabbed eight rebounds in the game. Over his last six games, Wright has grabbed 40 rebounds, averaging 6.6 per game.
- Freshman guard K.J. Walton (Indianapolis, Ind.) scored 11 points in the game, matching his season-high point total which he has now set three times this season.
- Walton connected on a season-high three shots the beyond the three-point line. Walton has connected on multiple three-pointers in two games this season, going 2-of-2 against Savannah State on Jan. 2.
- Senior Ryan Rosburg (Chesterfield, Mo.) scored 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field. Rosburg has scored in double digits in seven of his last eight games, averaging 15.5 points per game over that span.
