COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -Laurence Bowers scored 17 points and Zaire Taylor added 10 to lift Missouri out of an early first-half funk in a 91-57 win over Missouri-Kansas City on Wednesday night.
Missouri (10-3) missed its first nine shots and didn't score for nearly five minutes in falling behind against UMKC (7-6). That changed after Tigers coach Mike Anderson inserted a second unit led by Taylor, a former starter.
The reserves led a 14-0 run over the next five minutes and Missouri never looked back in the rout. Marcus Denmon added 14 points and Kim English scored 11 after being held scoreless in the first half.
LaTreze Mushatt scored 12 points to lead the Kangaroos.
