General
- The Tigers started off the game by paying tribute to 23 seniors, including fallen MU linebacker Aaron O'Neal. O'Neal's father, Lonnie, walked out on the field to represent his son. Senior safety William Moore wore No. 25 tonight to honor O'Neal.
- This senior class represents the "winningest" class in Missouri history, with a total of 34 wins from 2005 through tonight's game. Tonight was the last appearance at Faurot Field for the 23 seniors.
- This evening's announced attendance of 68,349 was the third consecutive sellout of the 2008 season. The average attendance at Faurot Field was 64,520 this season, the highest average since 1980, when the crowd averaged 67,602. In total, 387,120 fans have attended Missouri's six home games in 2008.
- Jeremy Maclin led the Tigers with 284 all-purpose yards tonight. That performance is fifth on the MU all-time single game list. Last year, he set the single-game record with 360 all-purpose yards against Kansas State in Manhattan. Maclin holds 15 of the 20 top-titles in the category, also including: 275 yards against Western Michigan (7th), 267 yards against Texas A&M (8th), 238 yards against Illinois State (14th) and 227 yards against Illinois (18th), all from last season; and 239 yards against Nevada (13th), 236 yards against Buffalo (15th), 234 yards against Illinois (16th), and 223 yards against Oklahoma State (19th) this season.
- With his 271 yards passing on the evening, senior QB Chase Daniel moves past six former college quarterbacks, including Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer, with 11,434 career passing yards, good enough for 15th place on the NCAA all-time list. The only active quarterback ahead of Daniel on the list is Texas Tech's Graham Harrell, who is in third place with 14,303 yards - before tonight's contest against Oklahoma State. In addition, this marks his third straight season with 3,000 passing yards, which no Tiger QB has done prior to this season. Daniel stands at 274-for-360 passing for 3,264 yards.
- The Missouri offense had control of the ball for much longer than usual tonight - a new season record of 32:45. The Tigers average 25:53 on the year, and their previous benchmark of 29:17 was set against Illinois in the season opener.
- Quite a few receivers got their hands on the ball in the Tigers' victory. Jeremy Maclin, Jared Perry, Tommy Saunders, Danario Alexander, Derrick Washington, Jerrell Jackson and Andrew Jones all had at least one catch. Maclin led the corps with eight catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
- The Tiger offense scored quickly tonight, posting five drives under two minutes, four of which ran under 1 minute.
- Tonight's victory was Missouri's 58th win over the Wildcats, the most by the Tigers over any opponent. The all-time series record now stands at 58-34-9.
First Quarter
- Jimmy Jackson's 37-yard run to set up the Tigers' first touchdown with 3:41 left in the quarter was a career-long for the senior running back.
- Missouri's first touchdown drive took a quick 1:07 and the Tigers are second in college football with 26 touchdown drives under two minutes. Tulsa leads with 32 quick-strike drives. Missouri's second scoring drive, by contrast, lasted 5:46, the longest, time-wise, of the year.
Second Quarter
- Sophomore WR Jeremy Maclin followed up the Tigers' punt block with a 42-yard TD catch on the first play of the drive. The nine-second TD drive was the third-fastest this year, just behind a six-second drive in the opening game against Illinois on a 21-yard Tommy Saunders catch, and a seven-second, 26-yard TD catch by junior WR Danario Alexander at Nebraska. It's the fifth one-play scoring drive this season. Maclin had an 80-yard reception against Nevada ( 0:13), and freshman De'Vion Moore scored on a 55-yard run for the final score against Colorado (0:11).
- With his second TD catch with 1:30 left in the half, sophomore wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is tied for the No.2 spot for MU career receiving touchdowns with 18. Former tight end Martin Rucker and wide receiver Justin Gage join him.
- At halftime, junior LB Sean Weatherspoon had 11 tackles, including four solo efforts. He leads the team in tackles with 108 at the half. In addition, senior CB Castine Bridges leads the defense with six pass break-ups this season, and had two on the night.
- Three points in the first half is the fewest that Missouri has held the Wildcats to since 1990, when the Tigers led 17-3 in Columbia. Missouri went on to win that game, 31-10.
Third Quarter
- Senior PK Jeff Wolfert capped off Missouri's second scoring drive with a 32-yard field goal to make the score 10-0, and made a 24-yard field goal in the third quarter to make the score 27-3. Wolfert has not missed a kick since a 52-yard try against Oklahoma State.
- With the exception of the games against SEMO and Colorado, tonight's third-quarter score by Kansas State represented the longest that the Missouri defense has held a team without a touchdown in a game this season.
Fourth Quarter
- Senior QB Chase Patton entered the game with 7:15 left, and quickly threw his first career TD pass at Missouri, a 13-yard strike to Jared Perry to make the score 41-10. Patton is now 11-of-17 passing on the year for 170 yards
- The pass intercepted by sophomore DB Kevin Rutland late in the quarter was the first interception grab of his career.
