Sophomore captain Tyron Woodley also went 3-1. Woodley, ranked 7th, pinned 8th-ranked Drew Kelly from Northern Iowa in 2:45. The pin by Woodley gave the Tigers the lead over the Panthers, 13-12. However the Panthers won three of the last four matches to hold on for a 21-16 victory. Woodley improved to 18-5 and 6-3 for the season.
Kevin Herron (#17 in the country) came into the duals with a 5-0 dual meet record this season, with all five victories due to pins. Herron pinned his first two opponents before having his pin streak snapped with a 9-3 decision over Harvard's Jonas Corl. Herron then suffered his first loss of the season against Northern Iowa.
