Gymnastics Excels Academically in the Spring Semester

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou gymnastics team set a spring semester program record grade point average, with a team GPA of 3.76 this past semester. The team GPA bested the old spring semester high of 3.63 set in the spring of 2011.
This past semester also marked the 16th consecutive spring semester Mizzou earned above a 3.0, dating back to 2005.
The Tigers ranked 14th nationally when the season was abruptly cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic just before the final regular season meet of the season. The student-athletes were forced to transition to online learning following spring break and set the program high team GPA despite those challenges.
