Riti was one of the finest centers ever to play football for Mizzou and in 1999 became the seventh Tiger to earn consensus first-team all-America honors. He redshirted his freshman year (1995) as a defensive lineman, then moved to the offensive line in 1996 and started eight games at right guard and one at left guard. Riti transitioned to center in 1997. He was all-Big 12 Conference in 1998 and 1999. He started a then MU-record 44 straight games from 1996-99 and helped pave the way for tailback Devin West to become an all-American in 1998 when the Tigers won their first bowl game since 1981 with a victory over West Virginia in the Insight.com Bowl. The ’96, ’97 and ’98 teams ranked among the nation’s top-10 in rushing offense. Riti was one of the strongest players ever to don the Black and Gold and was the first MU player to record a 900-lb. squat lift in 1998; then topped that with a school-record 1,000-lb. lift the following year. He played in the 2000 Senior Bowl and made the St. Louis Rams practice squad as an undrafted free agent in 2000. He has gone on to a successful career as a sales executive in St. Louis.
