In a long line of top-notch throwers for Missouri’s track-and-field programs, Peoples was one of the finest. She won the NCAA Indoor championship in the weight throw as a senior in 2015 and was a 10-time indoor/outdoor all-American in the weight throw, shot put, discus and hammer throw. She claimed multiple all-America honors in each season at Mizzou (two each in 2012 and 2013, and three each in 2014 and 2015. Peoples won five conference championships, including two as a senior in 2015. A native of Ottawa, Kansas, she holds school records in the indoor shot put (17.81m/58-5.50), indoor weight throw (22.84m/74-11.25), outdoor shot put (18.22m/59-9.50) and outdoor hammer throw (66.17m/217-1). She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Mizzou, and has worked as an academic advisor at MU, Florida, South Carolina and Southern Utah.
