Indoor: Was a middle-distance runner for the Tigers and set personal-best times in three different events during the indoor season ... First, he clocked a time of 1:16.62 in the 600-yard run at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge, taking 12th overall ... Came back and clocked a time of 1:57.02 in the 800m run at the Iowa State Bill Bergan Invitational, also a personal-best ... Ran a season-best 1,000m run time of 2:36.19 at the 2011 MU-KU Border Dual, placing third overall in the event. Outdoor: Was a 1,500m specialist for the Tigers who ran a season-best time of 4:05.11 in the event at the Georgia vs. Missouri Dual Meet, placing fourth overall ... Also ran as a member of the Tigers' 4x400m relay team at the Indiana Invitational, helping the group run a time of 3:12.28, placing second overall.

High School: Five-time MSHSAA All-State performer (cross country - 2008 and 2009, track - 2009, 800m; 2010, 800m and 4x400m) ... Three-time Sectional Champion (cross country - 2009, track - 2009 and 2010) ... Two-time District Champion (cross country - 2009, track - 2009) ... Coach Wilmes: "Kevin has been to our camp twice, so it has been fun watching Kevin develop. This fall he really had a breakout cross country season and I expect that to translate into some great times on the track this spring. In addition to being a tremendous student, Kevin also has a very positive attitude; he just brings a `can do' mindset."
