2009 OUTLOOK

One of the top returning offensive linemen in the Big 12 Conference who could be Mizzou's top honors candidate on the offensive side of the ball heading into the 2009 season ... Has started 28 consecutive games at right tackle over the last two seasons, and has logged 41 games of experience in all ... Is an impressive physical specimen who has the size, quickness and skills on the field, and is an extremely affable person who is one of the best interviews on the Tiger team off of it ... Is also an outstanding student who has already earned his degree from Mizzou - got it done in May of 2008, in just three years, and he's in line to receive his master's by May of 2010 ... Has emerged as a leader, not only on the football team, but with the entire Mizzou student-athlete community as well, as he serves as the Vice President and Treasurer on the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, which serves as the representative body for students as they work to communicate with Mizzou Athletic officials on various issues ... Helped initiate a fund-raising drive that netted over $1,000 in December for the local Adopt-A-Family program, and he's given much of his personal time to help promote the cause of charities like the Children's Hospital and the Central Missouri Food Bank, among others ... Was named the recipient of the Varsity M Male Athlete of the Year at the first annual Mizzou ROARS Spring Awards Show, the award signifying the student-athlete who encompasses the best of athletics, academics and community service ... His own family met with tragedy during the 2006 spring storm season, when his older sister's house was destroyed by a tornado ... Thankfully, no-one was injured, and the Tiger football coaches later pooled together $1,000 to help aid the family as they began the rebuilding process ... Hails from the tiny town of Blackburn, Mo., with a population of only 276 people.

2008 SEASON

Continued his steady development into one of the top linemen in the league, as he started all 14 games at right guard for Mizzou's record-setting offense ... Actually began the fall at left tackle, but was able to move back over to his more natural right guard position, thanks to the quick emergence of redshirt freshman Elvis Fisher at the left tackle spot ... The Tigers continued their assault on the MU record books, and finished the year ranked in the NCAA top-10 in four major offensive categories, including passing offense (4th - 330.36 ypg), scoring offense (6th - 42.21 ppg), total offense (8th - 484.14 ypg) and passing efficiency (10th - 157.84 rating) ... The Tigers also ranked 16th nationally in fewest sacks allowed per game (1.21), despite throwing the ball 565 times on the season ... Was named 2nd-Team All-Big 12 by league coaches for his efforts, and was named the team's outstanding underclassman leadership honoree ... Also took home the prestigious Big 12/Chick-Fil-A Community Champion award, which goes annually to honor the best student-athletes for their contributions on the field, in the classroom and in the community.

2007 SEASON

Won honorable mention All-Big 12 honors from the Associated Press for his outstanding play in his first year as a starter at right guard ... Protected and paved the way for Mizzou's offense to be arguably the most potent and consistent in the nation, as MU was the only team in the country to score 30 points or more in all 12 regular-season games (13-of-14 overall) ... Mizzou also was one of only two teams (Tulsa the other) to throw for 4,000 yards (4,397) and rush for 2,000 yards (2,467) on the year ... Mizzou ranked 5th in the NCAA in total offense (490.29 ypg), 8th in scoring offense (39.86 ppg) and 9th in passing offense (314.07 ypg), while checking in at 13th in passing efficiency offense (145.97 rating) ... An outstanding student who won 1st-Team Academic All-District and 1st-Team Academic All-Big 12 honors in 2007.

2006 SEASON

Saw action in all 13 games as a redshirt freshman, gaining more time as the season progressed ... Entered the Sun Bowl game listed at No. 2 on the depth chart at left tackle ... Is an outstanding student who earned 1st-Team Academic All-Big 12 honors this year ... Entered spring listed on the depth at left guard, but after the injury to incumbent starter Tyler Luellen at left tackle, Gregory took over and got invaluable experience at the spot, looking impressive in doing so.

2005 SEASON

Redshirt season ... Spent his 1st year getting acclimated to the program and practiced as part of the scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL

A standout two-way lineman for Class 2 school Santa Fe ... Ranked as the No. 41 defensive tackle prospect in the nation, according to Rivals.com, and as the No. 9 overall prospect in the state of Missouri for 2005 ... Has strong footwork skills on the offensive line, and helped lead his school to a runner-up finish in Class 2 in both 2003 and 2004 ... Santa Fe won conference championships every year but his sophomore season in 2002 ... Displayed his athleticism by playing on Santa Fe's kickoff teams ... Earned all-state honors three times offensively, and twice defensively ... Was also a 1st-Team all-conference selection on offense three times, and defensively two times ... Defensively, had 88 tackles as a senior, including 33 tackles for loss and 12 QB sacks ... Had 71 stops as a junior, adding 12 QB sacks, as well ... Named the KMZU Dream Team Defensive Player of the Year in both 2003 and 2004 ... Is the first Division I player to come from Santa Fe High School ... Is also a standout on the track for his school, as he has finished 5th in the state in the shot put (2004), and 7th and 8th in the discus (2003 and 2004, respectively) ... Amazingly, despite his size, also run on his team's 4x100 relay team that won district and qualified for the state championships in 2004 ... High school coach - Bill Fox & Jarrod Borland.

PERSONAL

Son of Roger & Ruth Gregory ... Chose MU over Kansas, Kansas State and Nebraska, among others ... Lists hobbies as hunting, fishing, farm work and trap shooting ... Earned his undergraduate degree in May of 2008 in agricultural management, and is now pursuing a master's degree in agriculture.
