2011-12 (JUNIOR): Earned a sixth-place showing in the 100 freestyle (48.60) in a dual against Missouri State ... Also competed in the Show-Me Showdown, against Kentucky and SIU, Mizzou Invite and Big 12 Championships.

2010-11 (SOPHOMORE): Finished in sixth-place in the 100 freestyle (49.28) against South Carolina ... Swam a 21.33 in the 50 free in the Tiger Invite.

2009-10 (FRESHMAN): Best finish came in the 50 free at the Tiger Invitational (22:46), where he also swam a 48.59 in the 100 free and a 1:46.60 in the 200 free... had a time of 26.28 in the 50 fly and 57.54 in the 100 fly against Missouri S&T...

HIGH SCHOOL - Has been swimming competitively for 12 years...was team captain under coach Bruce Holder at Lee's Summit High School...was named to the all-area team twice...was all-state in the 200 medley relay in 2007...was an all-state honorable mention in four events in 2008...went to the state championships in all four years of high school...participated at NSCA Junior Nationals on relays...was a USS Academic All-American in 2007-08.

PERSONAL - Michael Beck is the son of Bob and Alison Beck...Bob and Alison, as well as Michael's grandfather and two uncles, attended the University of Missouri... mother was also a swimmer at Mizzou... has two siblings, Billy (18) and Jeffrey (16)...majoring in Business.
