Mizzou Baseball First Pitch Banquet Set for Feb. 3

Former Mizzou ace and current Miami Marlin Brett Graves will be the keynote speaker
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball will hold the 14th annual First Pitch Banquet on Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Holiday Inn Expo Center. Doors will open at 7 p.m. with the banquet slated for a 7:30 p.m. start. The First Pitch Banquet serves as the official kick off the 2018 season as generations of the Mizzou Baseball family come together to recognize past and present achievements in a fun-filled night.
This year's First Pitch Banquet speaker will be former Mizzou standout RHP Brett Graves. Drafted in the third round of the 2014 MLB Draft, Graves has advanced all the way to AA Midland for the Oakland Athletics. He was selected by the Miami Marlins in the Rule 5 Draft this year and will begin his career with the Marlins in 2018, as he is part of the Marlins' 40-man roster following his selection in the Rule 5 Draft.
The 14th Annual First Pitch Celebration will include hors d'oeuvres beverages for young and old (cash bar), introductions of past and present players, a 2018 season outlook and a silent auction featuring prestigious professional and collegiate items.
