COLUMBIA, Mo. – A pregame flyover will highlight Mizzou Soccer Madness on Sept. 1 for Missouri's matchup with defending national champion Southern Cal. The F-35C flyover, by the United States Navy, is contingent upon weather conditions.
Missouri alumnus Lieutenant Commander Matthew Coulter, father of redshirt freshman defender Izzy Coulter, will perform the flyover in the F-35C. He is stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida with Strike Fighter Squadron One Zero One and is currently assigned as a flight instructor for the Navy's newest fifth generation fighter.
Mizzou Soccer Madness also includes free t-shirts for the first 200 fans in attendance, a face painter, balloon artist and bounce house. Missouri students are encouraged to attend the Welcome Back Tailgate outside Walton Stadium at 6 p.m., which features free barbeque, drinks and tailgating games. Entrance to the Welcome Back Tailgate requires a valid Missouri student ID. In addition, halftime entertainment of the match will feature the Mizzou Golden Girls.
The Tigers will conduct an autograph session following the match. Additionally, fans are invited to attend Flick on Faurot at 8:30 p.m. to watch Wonder Woman at the conclusion of the soccer game.
