
@MizzouAthletics Places 51 on 2016-17 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll

51 Tigers from 15 programs garner academic accolades
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Athletics placed 51 student-athletes on the 2016-17 First-Year Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll, announced Wednesday by the league commissioner, Greg Sankey.
Mizzou was represented by 15 total program in this year's First-Year Honor Roll. Soccer, Baseball, Men's Swimming and Diving and Women's Track and Field led the way with five student athletes each earning accolades.
To earn a spot on the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship or a letter winner; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
