Luebbert Called Up to U.S. U-23 Training Camp

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou soccer forward Sarah Luebbert (Jefferson City, Missouri) earned a call-up to the U.S. Under-23 Women's National Team training camp, her second such call-up in 2017. Luebbert and the team train April 2-8 in Orlando, Florida, and play a closed-door match against the National Women's Soccer League's Orlando Pride on April 7 and a contest with Central Florida on April 5.
The 2016 Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year, Luebbert also participated in January training camp with the U-23 team. During her freshman season at Missouri, she claimed All-SEC second team and NSCAA All-South Region third team honors, led the Tigers with 24 points on 10 goals and four assists during her freshman season. Her point and goal totals were the most for a Tiger since Kristin Andrighetto had 27 and 10 in 2009 and ranked second on both Mizzou's all-time freshman points and goals lists. She also paced the Tigers with four game-winning goals and started 18 games at the top of Mizzou's lineup.
Additionally, Luebbert finished the season ranked fifth among SEC players in goals per game (0.56) and sixth in points per game (1.33).
