COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou men's swimming and diving team travels to Indianapolis, Indiana, to compete at the 2017 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, March 22-25, at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI. Competition gets underway Wednesday evening with the 800 free relay. The remaining three days, swimming prelims begin at 10 a.m. ET (9 a.m. CT) and finals at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT). Diving prelims being at 12:30 p.m. ET (11:30 p.m. CT) on Thursday and Friday and 12:15 p.m. ET (11:15 p.m. CT) on Saturday.

- Mizzou qualified seven individuals, ito the NCAA Championships, with five swimmers and two divers
- The Tigers are also eligible to swim all five relays
- Mizzou's NCAA qualifiers include Michael Chadwick, Hunter Fritter, Kyle Goodwin, Carter Griffin, Andrew Sansoucie, Mikel Schreuders and Fabian Schwingenschlogl
Joining the individual qualifiers at the meet are Sam Coffman, Nick Davis, Daniel Hein, and Luke Mankus, who are Mizzou's relay-only swimmers - Three different Tigers enter the meet with top five seeds at the Championships
- Schwingenschlogl, the defending 100 breast national champion, is the top seed in the event and is seeded fifth in the 200 breast
- Schwingenschlogl's 2016 title was the first in the history of the Missouri program
- Chadwick is the four-seed in the 100 free and Sansoucie is the five-seed in the 100 fly
- Last season, the Tigers finished a program-record eighth at NCAAs with 184 points, besting the previous best point total by 51.5 points
- Chadwick, Goodwin, Griffin, Sansoucie, and Schwingenschlogl all enter the meet with previous individual All-America honors to their name. Chadwick and Schwingenschlogl own individual All-America first team honors, while Goodwin, Griffin and Sansoucie are All-America honorable mention honorees
- Six of Mizzou's seven individual qualifiers have competed at NCAAs before, while Fritter is the lone Tiger making his Championship debut
- Head Coach Greg Rhodenbaugh is in his seventh season at the helm of the Tigers. Under his direction, the men have posted their top five NCAA finishes ever, including a record eighth-place finish in 2016
- The Tigers finished fifth at last month's SEC Championships with 771 points
- At SECs, Mizzou notched five individual top three finishes, eight top five finishes and 10 top eight finishes
- Additionally, the Missouri 400 medley relay earned runner-up honors at the SEC Championships to mark the highest relay finish at the meet in program history
