@MIZ_TrackField Finishes Competition at the Tyson Invitational

Five personal records set on the second day of competition
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Mizzou Track & Field wrapped up competition at the Tyson Invitational by recording five personal-records, highlighted by a first-place finish in the 5,000m run by senior Ollie Lockley (Colby, Isle of Man).
Lockley surpassed his previous personal-record by a full ten seconds, posting a time of 14:33.22 in the race. In the 3,000m run, senior Sheldon Keence (St. Charles, Mo.) recorded a personal record as well, crossing the finish line at 8:34.87. Sophomore Maya Cody (St. Louis, Mo.) recorded the third personal record of the day for the Tigers in the 200m dash, running a time of 24.31, improving her third-best indoor 200m dash time in program history by 0.21.
Mizzou's 4x400m relay team of Cody, senior LaQuisha Jackson (Chattanooga, Tenn.), senior Sydney Wells (Fort Smith, Ark.) and redshirt junior Valerie Thames (Milwaukee, Wis.) finished at 3:42.07, recording their fastest time of the season.
In the field events, sophomore Karissa Roman (Kewanne, Ill.), redshirt sophomore Gabi Jacobs (Milwaukee, Wis.) and redshirt senior Mollie Gribbin (Montpelier, Vt.) all recorded top-10 finishes. Roman finished third in the high jump, matching her personal record with a jump of 1.70m (5-7), while Jacobs finished seventh in the shot put with a throw of 14.81m (48-7.25) and Gribbin finished ninth in the triple jump with a jump of 12.05m (39-6.5).
Mizzou will return home to host the Missouri Collegiate Open Friday, Feb. 17 at the Hearnes Center.
