Mizzou practiced at Rice University Saturday
HOUSTON, Texas - Mizzou Football arrived in Houston, Texas, for the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl on Friday (Dec. 22). After arriving on a quick flight that consisted of two team planes, the team and travel party go settled into the Hyatt in downtown Houston. Last that evening, the team thought it was going to practice as listed on the official team itinerary, but instead head coach Barry Odom surprised the team by taking everyone to the Houston Rockets game vs. the LA Clippers. It was a complete surprise to the entire team as the bowl committee and the Rockets helped Mizzou enjoy its first night in Houston. The team loaded the buses for what it thought was going to be a practice at Rice, but the team was full of excitement as the bus convoy pulled up the Toyota Stadium, home to the NBA's Rockets.
