
@MUWomensGolf Launches Three-Day Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown Sunday

Action begins with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. CT
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Women's Golf will hit the road again as the squad travels to Boulder City, Nevada, to compete in the 2017 Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown on Sunday.
The tournament is hosted by the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and will be played at Boulder Creek Golf Club on the Desert Hawk and Coyote Run courses. The Desert Hawk course will play as the front nine and the Coyote Run course will play as the back nine. The tournament begins on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. CT with a shotgun start. Action concludes on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. CT with the third round of shotgun play.
The Tigers will be one of 17 teams competing in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown alongside Colorado State, Gonzaga, Fresno State, Idaho, Long Beach State, Nebraska, Nevada (Reno), New Mexico, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Oral Robers, Portland State, San Jose State, South Dakota State, UC Riverside and UNLV.
Head Coach Stephanie Priesmeyer brings junior Emma Allen (Southampton, England), junior Marit Harryvan (Winschoten, Netherlands), sophomore Cherise Otter (Bloomington, Ind.), sophomore Jessica Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) and senior Clara Young (North Berwick, Scotland) to Boulder City for Mizzou's second-to-last tournament of the fall campaign. Junior Amanda Kim (O'Fallon, Mo.) will also compete as an individual.
Two weeks ago, the Tigers won their fourth consecutive Johnie Imes Invitational title, carding a 3-under par 861. Allen finished the invitational with a second-place finish and 7-under par. It was also the second-lowest event score of her career.
Mizzou's individuals also finished with solid scores at the Johnie Imes Invitational. Otter recorded her first career top-10 finish, tying for 8th and carding a 1-under par. Harryvan also tallied a top 10 finish and posted her lowest event of her career.
