
Zoe Cross Named to England U-19 Squad

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou soccer's Zoe Cross was named to the first England's U-19 team of 2017, Coach Mo Marley announced. The Young Lionesses will face Norway at St. George's Park for a pair of matches on Thursday, Jan. 19 and Saturday, Jan. 21. The contests will serve as preparation for England's Euro qualifying campaign, which beings this spring.
Cross is one of 17 players on the roster who helped the U-19 squad to win a friendly tournament in October in Northern Ireland.
The recent January enrollee who will play in the Tigers' spring season, Cross has 24 caps for England as a member of the U-19 and U-17 national teams. She tallied her first international goal against Spain in the UEFA European Women's U-17 Championship and helped the U-19 side to an international tournament victory. She played for Chelsea Ladies FC and helped the U-17 squad to the Gothia B Cup Championship in Sweden.
