GREENVILLE, S.C. – Mizzou Women's Golf completed its 2016 season-opening tournament on Sunday, finishing in sixth place at the Lady Paladin Invitational. The Tigers shot a 17-over (881: 287-298-296) over their three-day stretch at the Furman University Golf Course. Mizzou was one of 20 teams competing at this year's Lady Paladin.
Sophomore Emma Allen (Southampton, England) led the Tigers with an individual even (216: 69-75-72) tournament this weekend. Allen's solid effort finished T-12th on the individual leaderboard. Additionally, her 3-under (69) opening round marked Mizzou's top individual round this weekend.
In her NCAA and Tiger debut, freshman Jessica Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) shot 2-over (218: 72-73-73) and finished Top 25 overall among all competitors. Senior Jessica Meek (Carnoustie, Scotland) placed third among Mizzou golfers, tallying a 5-over (221: 73-75-73) tournament.
