Tigers arrive in Italy on little rest, tour the Colosseum and shoot around
ROME, Italy - Mizzou Men's Basketball began its foreign tour to Italy with a busy day around the capital city.
The Tigers, led into the 2016-17 season by third-year head coach Kim Anderson, began the day with their 8.5-hour flight touching down at 9:11 a.m. local time (2:11 a.m. in Columbia). Mizzou toured the world famous Colosseum and surrounding area, followed by a quick authentic Italian pizza dinner. The Tigers closed the day with a warm-up and shoot-around in the Palazzetto Arena Altero Felici, the home gym of Club Stella Azzurra.
Mizzou opens its exhibition schedule in the Palazzetto Arena on Sunday, Aug. 7, with an 11:30 a.m. tipoff. Fans can follow along online by Twitter (@MizzouHoops).
