Former Tigers guard with the Pistons' Orlando Summer League squad
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Men's Basketball's consistent presence in the professional ranks continues this summer during the NBA Summer League. The first former Tiger to appear during the offseason exhibition games was guard Phil Pressey (2010-13), who is playing with the Detroit Pistons' squad in Orlando (July 2-8).
Pressey came off the bench in a big way in action against the New York Knicks on July 2, recording eight points (2-of-8 FG, 2-of-4 3PT, 2-of-2 FT) with 10 rebounds in the 81-49 win. The full box score can be viewed here.
Pressey has played at least 10 minutes in both of Detroit's games, thus far. The Pistons play again on Tuesday, July 5 (4 p.m. CT, vs. Indiana) and Thursday, July 7 (4 p.m. CT, vs. Miami). Scores and additional information can be found here.
"Flip" appeared in 23 games last season (12.3 MPG), playing 14 contests with the Philadelphia 76ers and nine contests with the Phoenix Suns. Pressey was signed out of Mizzou as a free agent by Boston in 2013.
Former Mizzou standout Jabari Brown (2012-14) will suit up for the Los Angeles Lakers' summer league squad from July 8-18 in Las Vegas. Brown's appearances with the Lakers can be tracked here.
Brown averaged 11.9 points per game for the Lakers during the 2014-15 season, shooting an impressive 41.2 percent from the field over 19 games (5 starts).
